Mt. Kilimanjaro - Day 2

Quickly leaving the last of the tree line behind us, we embarked
on Day 2 with eager spirits. Most of the day was comprised
of chilly, raw conditions, as we moved up and through a
thick layer of clouds..

Altitude Change Day 1 --> 9800' - 12,500'

Nearing the top of the tree line,
vistas started to appear more
often.

that we had to hike through.

This little scrub flower was
prevailant throughout 75% of
the altitudeo the mountain.

Trees began to taper, giving other
flora the chance to thrive.
These are about 5 foot tall. We saw
them as big as 15'
