The
town of Moshi itself had many things to see.
We spent 2 days in Moshi before we began the climb up Kilimanjaro.
I
found this fairly odd. Notice
the statue of the soldier in the
background. A one man
"Iwo jima" perhaps.

This
was the headquarters of
Zara. Zara was the local outfitter
that coordinated much of our
climb. The sight of this building
as their headquarters was a
little worrisome.

Whether
the fire is burning trash
in the street or the results of a
rebel uprising , we Americans
only care about enjoying

I
find it funny that the sign on the
top of the tow truck says
" Towing Done At Owner Risk "

It
is very cool how the locals use
bamboo to support much of the
structures during construction.
Notice the top floor is much supported
by bamboo.
