The Town of Moshi - Part 1

The town of Moshi itself had many things to see.
We spent 2 days in Moshi before we began the climb up Kilimanjaro.

I found this fairly odd. Notice the statue of the soldier in the background. A one man "Iwo jima" perhaps.	Click For The Larger Image
This was the headquarters of Zara. Zara was the local outfitter that coordinated much of our climb. The sight of this building as their headquarters was a little worrisome.	Click For The Larger Image

It is very cool how the locals use bamboo to support much of the structures during construction. Notice the top floor is much supported by bamboo.	Click For The Larger Image
