Ngorongoro Elephants!
Truly the most memorable part of this day was the appearance
from afar of the most giganticist elephantus ever seen.
We watched him approach for over 20 minutes, and he was huge.
However, the closest elephant pictures I took can be found in the Serengeti

Let us begin with my
favorite. This picture
provides all the scale
words would have
difficulty in doing

You can see Walter
snap away as the
elephant walks between
the two vehicles.
Or, more like we
circled around on both
sides of the poor guy.

OK, he is cool, but the

After ten minutes he
reached us and passed
us, wanting a tasty
drink more than his
photo taken.

In the background, you
can see a lion relaxing on
the grass (just above his
tusks)

He was pretty voracious in
the amount of water he
drank

Do not flee! Do not flee!
The big guy was on
his way away from
the watering hole...

...and just like that,
he was gone...
