bananas to ripen once they leave this processing plant?
Answer: 6 weeks!

 

...As the bananas get through
the first cleaning, they are
further scrubbed by human
hands...

the fumigation box and
the packaging area...

Next run through a
fumigation system and the
little Chiquita sticker is
put on every bunch.
As I photographed this
part of the process, all the
men began to whistle in
favour of my compositional
choice; she was the babe!

You are now an expert on banana plantations and packing, and I doubt
