Hacienda Baru
The Pacific Coast

Of all Baru's assets, having a strip of the Pacific Coast on their
reserve is downright essential. A natural mangrove patch lines
the beach, and the warm waters are a treat for anyone from the north.

The promise of a gorgeous
Tica for every Gringo (here shown
is our favorite Marisol, now
engaged to my brother Jon) is not
guaranteed, as inflation continues
to drive their prices up.

experienced.

Here, our hero narrowly
escapes an obviously
devastating riptide, thanks
to years of practice as a
high school sprinter! His
stride could be a bit longer...

We were all alone on this
beautiful stretch of beach
so early in the morning (just
the 'three' of us). The
water was warm, reinforcing
the notion that Costa Rica
is a wonderful place to be.

to extract it safely.

we know great sights
still await us...
