Limon, Costa Rica
The only province to be entirely on the Caribbean, Limon's climate has no
real dry season, with wind patterns coming in off of the Caribbean Sea
bringing in warm, most air. Lowland areas are warm and humid year
round, higher elevations tending to be cooler and wetter. Christopher
Columbus's 4th and final voyage to the Americas had him anchor near Limon.

After getting a great dousing of
tropical rain on the drive to
Limon, we enter the city.
Firetrucks line the main road
into town...

Despite the rain storm, there
was a fire large enough
to require the fire
department. An interview
with an officer appeared to
be in progress as we drove by.

At the port of Limon was,
however, a large Caribbean
cruise ship making a stop
here. It was quite enormous,
and embarked from
Galveston, Texas.

Next to the massive cruise
ship was another large ship.
Though dwarfed by the
cruise ship, this one was large
enough to drive a very many
tractor trailer trucks into.

nearly unkept park.
