Behind the Selva Verde Lodge (at the Sarapiqui Conservation
Learning Center), our entertainment included a large orb
web spider; very common around buildings here in the rainforest.
What perhaps was rare was the unwanted guest that jumped onto her web...

she suddenly turns to
a new and strange
danger...

An immature iguana
wanders under the web,
with playful desires
on his mind.

Unbelievable, the
little guy jumps up

perplexed as we
were to see him in
such a situation...

amused by his
antics and tells her
little male spider
hubby to quickly
get behind her ...

spider. She turns and
runs, as you can see
his arms flailing at
her in blurring
speed...
