The road back to San Jose from Sarapiquí, affords us the chance to
see a wonderful little waterfall along the road, that gave us the
chance to stop and be goofy...Well, litlle compared to Gulfoss in Iceland..

All of a sudden, the pounding
water rushes out of the
hillside, into a deep pool below,
to begin its descent further
down the valley.

The old bridge is so mold
covered and rotted out that one
wonders when the road will
no longer be.

The water races down quickly,
and continues on beyond us.

Farther on down the road, we
stop to picture a steep decline
before us into a large, and very
rugged valley below.

As mountanous as any
country, sheer cliffs often
parallel the road, as very
large trees appear quite
small below.

A truck full of oil, straight off
the barge from Venezuala
perhaps. Hazardous placards
and safety labels adorn trucks
in the more modern of countries.
I have seen trucks that could be
milk, or could be sulfuric acid,
in less developed countries...
