Fire 3 Buildings Away!
		Even Though I have not put up pictures of my new pad in Pacific Heights, here are some of a fire that was just across the street in December 1998 (this is more interesting anyway). Taken from the roof of my building. Just off Green/Steiner.
		One does wonder, since the buildings are so close together, how easily a whole block could burn up. Click for the Full Image The Firefighters had the fire out in about 20 minutes after they got the first hose out. They stayed around for hours though to be sure it was fully out. Click for the Full Image The plume reached a few hundred feet, visible for a long way. Click for the Full Image The flames rose 10' or more from the roof, with smoke pouring out both the front and rear of the building. Click for the Full Image
