Though the actual Palace is closed on Tuesdays, there
is a day worth of things to see in the architecture of the
Palace itself, of the statues and pools, and in the flowers.

This statue has particular
interest. It not only blends
the Egyptian (Sphinx)
with the Greek (cherub),
but has the cherub
straddling the sphinx.
