Though the actual Palace is closed on Tuesdays, there
is a day worth of things to see in the architecture of the
Palace itself, of the statues and pools, and in the flowers.

blowing the horn and
leading the horse. This
is much the same as the
statues at the Trevi
Fountain in Rome.

This statue has particular
interest. It not only blends
the Egyptian (Sphinx)
with the Greek (cherub),
but has the cherub
straddling the sphinx.
