Rotterdam Images of Bridges and More.
In World War II, Hitler ordered his Luftwaffe to bomb
Rotterdam into the ground. Later, the Dutch took the
opportunity to build many modern and fascinating bridges.

The Erasmus Bridge has
many smaller cables
on one side, and but
two heavy duty
on the other.

This structural design
of the Erasmus bridge
adds much grace
to the very
assymetrical bridge.

Here we see the many
steel cables pass
overhead. Pretty neat.

At another angle, you can
see this clearly.
The Erasmus Bridge is very
popular for a reason!

peninsula in the center

Rotterdam, that I
lost count.

This bridge looks to be
one of the few that I
saw that may have
actually survived
the war.

One of my favorite
shots, the shape and
elegance of these
bridges really adds
a lovely modern
look to Rotterdam.

Taking on the design
of the bridges, KPN
Telecom did a similar
design for their
corporate building.

This building also had a
light at each intersection
of windows, and the lights
went on and off in patterns.
Pretty different, for sure.
