gas powered vehicle, as
they are trying to keep
smog down in the area,
and the parking area is
well over a mile from the
caves themselves.

curvaveous measure-

Mahayana Chaita
(600 AD), cave no 19.

This facade is supposed to be
the finest in the Buddhist
cave temples in India.
It has a porch supported
by two lavishly carved
pillars and an impressive window in horse-shoe shape.

Here our Lord Siva, sitting
next to his wife, Parvithy,
assumes a prominant
position along the facade
of this cave. Siva has what
I believe is the Cobra rising
along his right shoulder.
I say Cobra, as a bronze
bust of Siva that I bought
has the same thing.
