The Large Theatre was built
in a natural space at the top
of the hill. The seating for
the public was in the form of
a large horse-shoe, and the
stage was situated on the
open end.

Much reconstruction of
this area is being redone;
it almost looks like all the
stone slab seating is going
to put back in. It would
be a sight to see fully
operational once again.

is the greeting "Have". The
entrance hall is furnished
with two double doors.

this splendid bronze statue
of the dancing Faun, which
decorates on of the impluvia
of the house.

The House of the Faun can
justly be considered the most
beautiful example of a
private house left to us
from ancient times, because
of its size, its architectural
importance and its
decorations.
