Castel Sant' Angelo

This massive fortress overlooking the Tiber was the mausoleum
of the Emperor Hadrian, built in 130 AD. The shape of a large
cylindrical drum 65 metres in diameter, its design is of Etruscan
derivation and built on the model of the Mauseleum of Augustus.
