Roman Colosseum

The most majestic amphitheatre of Roman times, its original name was
the Flavian Amphitheatre, commerating the name of Vespasian who
commissioned the building in 72 AD and inaugurate it by sacrificing 5000
animals. Fights between gladiators and beasts lasted through 523 AD.
