The road to Fuji. We left Tokyo on a train, then took a mountain
train to climb the elevation. Then a cable car up and over the
pass, and then a "pirate" ship across the lake. Did we ever
see Fuji on this cloudy and rainy and chilly day? No!

We then boarded,

a cable car to cross
the ridge.

farther ridge we

We did see (and smell)
massive amounts of
sulphurous smoke
coming forth from
the mountainside.

Without a doubt,
this is a very active
geological and
geothermal area.
