Much
like at Meiji Shrine
in Tokyo, you can write
your wishes on these
and leave them for the
deities to perhaps grant.

This one 4" wooden beam

Sasuke-Inari
Shrine is here. The
1st shogun Yoritomo Minamoto of
the Genji clan ordered samarai
Shigetada Hatakeyama to rebuild
this shrine in the 12th century.
He believed that the spirit here
was a harbringer of his good
fortune.
5 dieties are enshrined here.

A
flower on the grounds of
one of the shrines in Kamakura.
I am always on the look out
for a flower shot. I would love
to get a few enlarged on my
wall at home. For now, I have
these
images on my wall
at home. |

Near
the Zeniarai
Benten, and
just out of sight where no one
could see, was this statue of a
small dragon. Since I was out
of view, I had the sudden
feeling that I could be grabbed
and taken by the deities and
no one would have seen.
- or quite possibly cared :)
