This is not an
oddity shot, but
one of my favorites
of Matt and Vicky.

is a Karaoke bar.
I believe this is in
the Asakusa area.

Off on the wedding
day, while I hiked
and explored, this
cute sign suggests
going near power
lines is a bad idea.

You can buy hot
drinks, cold drinks,
and even beer at
some vending
machines. You find
them in the oddest
places too.

Against the wall in the bar
the night of the wedding
when we all went out for
drinks, we saw a very sexy,
and in great shape, Thompson
submachine gun. Released
in the 1930's, this fabulous
little hand held automatic
revolutionized 20th century
small arms.

They were still in some use in
World War II by US military. It is
quite possible that this rifle was
left over from then. I wonder
what history it has. It was odd
that it leaned there against the
wall in the bar, 30 round magazine
inserted. Was it loaded? I'd take
it over that silly guitar any day!
