The Shibuya District

Here is a bustling, youth oriented shopping district. There are as
many designer stores here as you'll find in Paris, New York or Rome.
There is also a small, nondescript sushi bar here that has the
best sushi and best prices I have had in my entire life. I tried
raw horse sushi here, and oh, how it melted in my mouth!

Welcome to Shibuya Station!
As always, the first thing you
see is the subway station

Streets full of shops
immediately open up
all around you. Here, the
line to get in is around
the block!

The big intersection once
you leave the subway
station. A huge television
screen is on the side of the
building, and 100's of
people bustle about.

No two buildings in
Tokyo ever appear the
same. There must be a
contest for the most
ostentatious building.

What looks like another
10 story tall Karoake

Walking north in Shibuya,
we come closer to Harajuku
and the Meiji Shrine area...

... but not before we see
a building shaped somewhat
like a spacecraft.

Near Harajuku station,
we pass the "Bridge
of the Goths." A common
place for rebellious youths
to come out and paint their
faces into stupid and
comedic fashions - how
every developed society
breeds such beautiful
miscreance!

On days such as this,
I reflect upon the beauty
of such places.

Shubiya district gives
an idea as to the density
of the young masses
walking, shopping, and

I believe this is the
NHK Broadcasting
Center, but I may be
wrong. Corrections
Appreciated, thanks.

High up on top of a building
is an Adidas advertisement,
basketball hoop and all.
However, it looks like there
is actually a platform up
there, though the basket
is likely 10 metres high!

I think these guys were
selling something, but
I am not sure if it was the
doll or the lingerie. Either
way, I did have enough
interest to photograph
them all, though she is
a bit tall for me.
