Point Reyes National Seashore
On the western shores of Marin County, California

Point Reyes National Seashore is a beautiful place to go hiking or camping,
located only 20 miles from San Francisco. Having been there on numerous occasions,
I have a few pictures from the trail to
"Arch Rock." This 4 mile hike (in each direction) from
the parks' headquarters in Olema, runs through forests, open fields, hills and finally to the Pacific Ocean.
Just another reason why I can't imagine I would want to live anywhere else.

How the hike got its name. The hole beneath the
bulk of Arch Rock is roughly 12' high and 25' wide

A wall of water crashes in. I forgot where I was standing
I was so excited when I snapped this shot. It nearly cost
me two broken legs, a fractured skull, months of rehab,
and most importantly, the camera! This wall had to
have been 12' high!

Hans and myself (not pictured in thumbnail) looking
out at what we've dubbed "Shit Rock," the sister to Arch
Rock. The seagulls spend less time on Arch Rock
than they do on this white covered outcropping
