Point Reyes National Seashore
is a beautiful place to go hiking or camping,
located only 20 miles from San Francisco. Having been
there on numerous occasions,
I have a few pictures from the trail to "Arch Rock."
This 4 mile hike (in each direction) from
the parks' headquarters in Olema, runs through forests,
open fields, hills and finally to the Pacific Ocean.
Just another reason why I can't imagine I would want to
live anywhere else. |

How the hike got its
name. The hole beneath the
bulk of Arch Rock is roughly 12' high and 25'
wide |

A wall of water
crashes in. I forgot where I was standing
I was so excited when I snapped this shot. It
nearly cost
me two broken legs, a fractured skull, months of
rehab,
and most importantly, the camera! This wall had
to
have been 12' high! |

out at what we've dubbed "Shit Rock,"
the sister to Arch
Rock. The seagulls spend less time on Arch Rock
than they do on this white covered outcropping |
