We spent one night in Kusadasi, in the 300 year old Ottoman
caravansary. Nearby is located an old Genoese castle, which
was at one time home to the infamous pirates Barbarossa,
Oruc and Hayretin, who pillaged the coasts of Spain and Italy.

Outside view of the
caravansary. The two small
windows on the front section
were in the room in
which we stayed.

of staying in an Ottaman
caravansary, and this night
she was to do so.

Kusadasi. I bought a
leather jacket here to help

summers back home in

Kusadasi is a sprawling resort
town, with many cruise liners
making port here. It was a
fantastic day we had while
here, both in entertainment
and in weather.

The azure waters of the
Mediterranean with mountains
on all sides surround this
fun little city. Kusadasi is
located at the end of the long
roadwasy we took 100's of
miles inland from Konya.

could also buy Turkish
carpets, but the best deals
were back in Avanos, in
Cappadocia.
