A
close up of the loom. It is
wider the entire carpet, and see
how tightly the loom holds each
thread vertically, so that she
may run the colored threads
perfectly horizontally. Such
patience and time does it
take to create these carpets.

The World Cup was well under

Palm
lined roads and tiled streets,
Marmaris is a lovely little resort
town. Full of English and Germans
and Americans (though not as
many as in the past due to
worldwide political instability. Turkey,
especially the coast, caters
to tourists, and in my opinion is
safer than most American cities. |
