mosque, you are kindly asked
for donations. See
the entranceway is covered
with thick and heavy mats,
minimizing both light and
sound from entering...

In places so very organic,
with level upon level, it
rises up on the Golden
Horn of Istanbul.

Getting all 6 minarets into
a single picture proved more
difficult than one may
imagine!

Along the side walkways,
we see Bonnie give human
scale to the area. Note the
serious horizontal metal
beams installed in the
20th century as protection
against seismic activity.
