Here Bonnie and I visit the insides of two great mosques. One
of these mosques was more a museum, and the other a
very normal, well used place of worship.

An outside view of this
amazing mosque.

This giant "door" was
100's of pounds, and
kept sound and light
completely out of the
museum. Looking at the
size of the leather handles
can give an idea of the
mass of this.

As always, shoes are
not allowed within the
holy mosques.

Another room of the mosque
has the glass lights hanging,
and so often found in
Turkish buildings.

Another look at this large
mosque, from the grounds
outside. It was a lovely,
warm day to be in Konya.

The call to prayer, heard
over the megaphones
throughout this entire
section of the city,
are being sung for us
by this man live! He
gave us a smile and
the thumbs up signal.

Outside and in the back of
the mosque made for an
interesting sight.

non descript mosque
that had many men
praying while we
walked around.
