Side, Turkey
Temples of Apollo and Athena by the Mediterranean coast. Truly
a beautiful location, the temples, both of the Corinthian order,
are dated to the 2nd century AD. Six columns in front and back,
and eleven on the sides, both had a front chamber (pronaos),
a main chamber and a cult room (cella).

Reconstruction continues
to this day on the temples
of Apollo and Athena.

Within part of the ancient
basilica is a modern day
bar and restaurant. This
bar had arguably the worst
customer service I have
ever seen, and it took over
an hour for a single burger
and fries to be prepared.

However, the atmosphere was
nice and the afternoon
beautiful, as Bonnie seems
both relaxed and care free.
