At the beach supposedly once
frequented by Marcus Antonius
and Cleopatra, it is a funny
and very odd sign if taken
out of context to its location.
Even then it is funny to see.

Perhaps
the selection of
carpets and kilims is just
poor, and for that the owner
is sorry. If so, not a very
good marketing strategy

Wow!
Careful not to smoke,
or it may cost you a fine of
189 million Turkish lira!
Luckily
for those familiar in the
US dollar, this will not exceed
$110, even with the current
soft greenback of 2003.

Nothing
special about this sign,
just an example of Turkish is all.
Of course, at the time I may
have thought it funny, but
my memory often fails to ascertain
what it was thinking in past times. |
