Palace
of the Grand Master
Located at the end of the Street of the Knights, the
Palace
of the Grand Master was built by the Knights in the 14th century,
and was destroyed in 1856 by an explosion in the powder-magazine
which the Turks had housed in the cellar. It was restored in 1940.
Artifacts
of war are stored in
this main room.
