Dalyan river is full
of tourist boats as the
Carian tombs carved
directly into the cliff
face are visible beyond.

Along
the west side of
the river, the morning
sun provides the
best light upon the tombs.

of the these tombs
are but a few feet deep
into the rock face.
Similar to the temple in
Petra, Jordan, it is more
of a frontage than
a full on internal space.

Dalyan, at a local
petrol stop, one can
take a shower or get
a car wash during the
hot, dry day.

Is this the Blue Mosque?
Well, no, but the wonderful
blue hue of the ancient Iznik
tiles is not only to be found
at the Blue Mosque.
But are these really Iznik?
You
can see the
megaphones on the
sides of the minaret near
the top; they blare loudly
so the populous can all
hear the time for prayer.
