Not sure if this 1500'
pebble had a specific name,
will need to research it a little more. Look at
the
dwarfed trees at the bottom. |

The clouds definitely
allowed some
interesting photographs |

This is the first
vista point and bridge you'll
come to in Yosemite Valley. It's easy to use
up all your film right here. Just remember, this
is only the beginning! |

Yosemite Falls in the
background. These falls are
the third highest in the world, with a height of
some
1900 feet across three 'steps,' only one of which
was visible this day |

With the clouds above
and the trees and grassy field
in the foreground, this shot of Yosemite Falls
came
out pretty cool |

I really wanted to
give him a kick right in the

Bridalfalls.
Definitely look at this image to
see the entirety of this wonder |

Bridal Falls has a
path to walk up really close to
the base, you should see all the "BE
CAREFUL" signs
they have up there. By the time you get to the
end
of the path, the mist from the falls is not a
mist, but
an absolute ice cold torrential downpour. When I
took this picture, I got completely drenched, and
no one was up to the end with me. Bunch of
chickens
I guess, but I got lots of stares on my way back
down the path. It was funny |

El
Capitan
You can see the base of it's staggering 3000'
slope
at the left. Dave and I had to "touch"
it, and although it
looked like a few minute walk and just over one
little wedge
of trees, its sheer size caused misjudment.
Taking closer
to 45 minutes to walk to the base, it was some
treacherous terrain to get there. 3000' feet
straight up
is pretty impressive when you're at the bottom
(more
impressive is 3000' feet straight down I bet) |
